What comes with my NightNest?

One white lamp with red and warm-white light modes, a USB charging cable and a user manual. A wall adapter is not listed as included.

Where does it fit in our routine?

Use a soft red glow for the bedtime routine and nighttime care, keeping the lamp outside the crib and your baby’s reach. A dim, quiet room helps keep the nighttime atmosphere calm. Darkness is a good choice once your baby is settled.

A thoughtful light for the bedtime environment.

A gentler signal after dark.

In general sleep guidance, dim red light is less likely than blue-rich light to interfere with melatonin and the body clock. The amount of light still matters.

A calmer setting for winding down.

Lower the lights for the last cuddle, lullaby or bedtime story. The NHS includes dimming the room in a soothing baby bedtime routine.

Keep nighttime feeling like nighttime.

A small glow lets you see to feeds and changes without switching on the big light. Low light and quiet care help make night feel different from day.

Advice from a sleep physician

Cleveland Clinic reports Dr. Chen’s recommendation for red nightlights for children. He also recommends attention to brightness and placement, and darkness after settling when practical.

Clinical guidance for infant nighttime care

The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine’s 2023 infant-care protocol advises considering a dim red light for anticipated nighttime lighting. This is practical care guidance, not proof of longer infant sleep.

A calm baby bedtime routine

The NHS recommends a soothing bedtime routine and dimming the lights to create a calm atmosphere. It also advises low lighting and quiet voices for nighttime care.

From the last cuddle to the next little check-in.

Use a low glow for winding down and nighttime care. Once your baby is settled, darkness remains a good choice for sleep; there is no established benefit to leaving a red light on all night.

Bring a softer glow home

These are benefits of a dim nighttime environment, not a promise of faster, deeper or longer infant sleep. NightNest is an ambient light, not red light therapy.

A softer light at bedtime.

A short summary of Dr. Chen’s guidance on children’s nighttime lighting.

  1. Prefer a dim red glow.

Dr. Chen recommends red nightlights for children. Color and brightness both matter.

  2. Place it thoughtfully.

Keep the glow low in the room instead of lighting up the ceiling.

  3. Let darkness take over.

If your child is comfortable, dim the light and switch it off after they settle.

One lamp. Two ways to wind down.

A red glow for winding down and nighttime care. Warm white for your evening setup. Choose the light that suits the moment.

Both modes are included in every NightNest.

For feeds, changes and quiet check-ins.

For your evening rhythm.

For your evening setup and everyday bedside light.

Preview only. Actual brightness varies with your setting and room.

For the moments that cannot wait until morning.

A feed. A fresh diaper. A quiet check-in. Make a place for the care that continues after bedtime.

Close to your chair. Outside baby's sleep space.
  1. Charge before the evening begins.

Use the included USB cable and follow the supplied instructions for charging. A little preparation keeps the lamp ready for your care routine.

  2. Give it a place of its own.

Set the lamp on a stable adult surface, outside the crib and beyond baby's reach. Keep the cord away from the sleep space, too.

  3. Keep the light—and the moment—low.

For a feed or diaper change, use only the light you need and keep your voice quiet. Use regular room lighting to check skin color or whenever you need to see clearly.

Follow the supplied instructions for charging, placement, and operation.

A few things parents ask.

From setup to nighttime care, here are the details worth knowing.

Always follow the supplied instructions. Keep the lamp and cord outside baby's sleep space and reach. Use normal room lighting whenever you need to assess skin color or see clearly.

What comes in the box?

One lamp, a USB charging cable, and a user manual. A wall adapter is not listed as included. Follow the supplied instructions for charging and operation.

Where should I place the lamp?

On a stable adult care surface, away from the crib, bedding, and baby's reach. Secure the cord out of reach and do not direct the light into baby's eyes. Use normal room lighting when checking skin color, assessing your baby's health, or whenever you need clearer visibility.

Can I use it around a newborn?

Use the lamp only according to its manufacturer's instructions and age guidance, outside baby's sleep space and reach. Infant-specific safety testing has not been verified for this product. Ask your pediatric clinician if you are unsure whether it is appropriate for your baby, especially if they were born prematurely or have a medical condition.

Should I leave red light on while my baby sleeps?

There is no established infant-sleep benefit to leaving a red light on all night. Darkness is a good choice for sleep. Use a dim glow for settling or care, keep it away from your baby’s eyes, and switch it off when it is no longer needed. Follow the supplied instructions.

Will it make my baby sleep longer?

A calm, dim room can be part of a soothing bedtime routine, but NightNest has not been shown to make babies sleep faster, deeper or longer. Research on red light in adults cannot establish the same benefits for infants. Babies still wake for feeding and care.

Is this red light therapy for babies?

NightNest is an ambient nursery light, not a medical treatment. Red light therapy has not been established as a treatment for babies. Speak with your pediatric clinician about medical concerns.

Does red light increase melatonin?

Dim red light is generally less disruptive to melatonin and circadian timing than blue-rich light. That is why sleep guidance often favors it for nighttime lighting. It does not mean this lamp increases melatonin in babies; brightness, timing and age all matter.

Thoughtfully simple. Down to the details.

A compact light with the everyday essentials. Pick it up, place it beside your care space, and make it part of the evening.
